2023年2月13日，矶崎新+胡倩工作室参与的环金鸡湖6个驿站组织开展国际方案征集，最终获得了驿站2风之园新建驿站的方案第一名。2024年5月1日，风之园驿站项目竣工并开业，已然成为苏州金鸡湖边上又一处新晋网红打卡点。作为后矶崎新时代胡倩带领工作室团队的第一个落成作品，风之园驿站不仅为苏州城市增添一笔浓重的色彩，对矶崎新+胡倩工作室也意义非凡。

On February 13, 2023, ISOZAKI + HuQian Partners participated in an international competition for six new station designs around Jinji Lake and won first place for the design of Wind Garden Post Station 2. On May 1, 2024, the Wind Garden Post Station project was completed and opened, quickly becoming a new popular spot along Suzhou’s Jinji Lake. As the first completed project led by Hu Qian and her team in the post-Isozaki era, Wind Garden Post Station not only adds vibrant color to the city of Suzhou but also holds significant meaning for ISOZAKI + HuQian Partners.

风之园驿站作为本项目为环金鸡湖15个休闲驿站中6个新建驿站之一，位于金鸡湖西侧风之园码头旁，作为结合风之园码头的综合服务性建筑，是该区域的重要服务配套设施之一，为环湖游客提供休憩和配套服务，也为码头举行的水上运动提供服务。场地东侧为帆船码头，西侧是城市绿地。独特的场地条件需要icon式的建筑去呼应，因此功能与形式如何巧妙的结合是胡倩与团队所关注的问题。

Wind Garden Post Station is one of six new stations out of a total of fifteen leisure stations around Jinji Lake. Located next to the Wind Garden Pier on the west side of Jinji Lake, it serves as a comprehensive service building, providing important support facilities for the area. It offers rest and services for visitors around the lake and supports water sports activities held at the pier. The east side of the site features a sailing pier, while the west side is an urban green space. The unique site conditions necessitate an iconic building to respond accordingly. Therefore, the clever integration of function and form was a key focus for Hu Qian and her team.

设计理念
Design Concept

建筑作为单一的object（物件），由纯粹的几何体形成。形式上，运用矶崎新的手法理论，采用建筑的基本元素：grid(系统网格)和frame( 框架)，并对其进行拉伸、倾斜、切断的拓展运用，最终形成符合功能需求的具有公共性气质的空间。地形设计上运用单纯的草坪地坡，加以形象树的烘托，突出了建筑雕塑感和存在感；绿植和草坪，有机从基地中生长，并以单纯的几何体与然环境对比呼应。

The building, conceived as a singular object, is formed from pure geometric shapes. Utilizing Arata Isozaki’s theoretical methods, the design employs basic architectural elements: grid and frame. These elements are stretched, tilted, and segmented to create a space that meets functional requirements while exuding a public character. In terms of site design, simple grass slopes, complemented by distinctive trees, enhance the building’s sculptural quality and presence. The greenery and lawn organically integrate with the site, contrasting and resonating with the natural environment through the use of simple geometric forms.

立面设计
Facade Design

建筑整体形象由于黑盒子基座、白色交错筒体和透明玻璃盒子组成。

The overall image of the building is composed of a black box base, intersecting white cylindrical volumes, and transparent glass boxes.

一层方形盒子为基座，实墙面采用深灰色涂料，与二层白色筒体相比，尽量弱化深色盒子的存在感。同时，用于设备的百叶和干仓实心门均采用同色材质并与外立面齐平，保持“基座”的完整性。一层东北角咖啡厅及东南角展示干仓使用无竖梃中空LOW-E超白玻璃，保证玻璃的通透性，特别是冲出一层屋檐的展示干仓玻璃盒子部分。靠西侧的卫生间和沐浴更衣部分采用高窗。

The ground floor square box serves as the base, with solid walls finished in dark grey paint to minimize the presence of the dark box in contrast to the white cylinders on the second floor. Equipment louvres and solid storage room doors are made of the same material and flush with the facade to maintain the integrity of the “base.” The northeast corner houses a café, and the southeast corner features a display storage room, both utilizing frameless double-glazed low-E ultra-clear glass to ensure transparency, especially for the display storage glass box protruding from the first-floor eaves. High windows are used for the restroom and shower/changing areas on the west side.

二层交错形体为白色清水混凝土筒体，“切断”的截面为幕墙，以苏州传统花窗为灵感，结合数码印刷网点彩色玻璃，形成独特的花窗效果。花窗四周与筒体相交处因为防排水设计，形成缝隙，将雨水有效排放。

The intersecting forms on the second floor are white exposed concrete cylinders. The “cut” sections are curtain walls inspired by traditional Suzhou lattice windows, combined with digitally printed colored glass to create a unique lattice effect. Gaps are formed where the lattice windows intersect with the cylinders to accommodate waterproofing and drainage, effectively channeling rainwater.

特点1：花窗
Feature 1: Lattice Windows

设计中，几何体的切断界面直接嵌入了窗框纹理，令人不禁联想到苏州园林中那精致的花窗。驿站规定的橘色以渐变的形式融入了花窗，完成了独具一格的色彩特征的要求。这种视线的通透性，模糊了室内与室外环境的界限，打造了一种室内外相融合的空间体验。当人们在室内活动，透过花窗欣赏金鸡湖及其湖畔风光时，他们自己也不知不觉成为了这扇花窗取景框中的生动画面，为湖边的自然美景添上了一抹人文色彩。

The design directly integrates the window frame texture into the geometric cut surfaces, reminiscent of the exquisite lattice windows found in Suzhou gardens. The mandated orange color is incorporated into the lattice windows in a gradient, fulfilling the unique color characteristic requirements. This transparency blurs the boundary between the indoor and outdoor environments, creating a seamless spatial experience. When people are indoors, enjoying views of Jinji Lake and its shoreline through the lattice windows, they themselves become part of the dynamic scene framed by these windows, adding a touch of human culture to the natural beauty of the lake.

特点2：倾斜墙面
Feature 2: Inclined Walls

在这座设计巧妙的建筑中，几何体的旋转与倾斜不仅丰富了建筑的形体，更赋予了空间一种动态的美感。斜墙仿佛是舞者轻盈的身躯，以优雅的姿态切割着空间，为室内带来了独特的韵律感。

In this cleverly designed building, the rotation and inclination of geometric shapes not only enrich the building’s form but also impart a sense of dynamic beauty to the space. The inclined walls, like the graceful body of a dancer, elegantly slice through the space, creating a unique rhythm within the interior.

特点3：公共空间
Feature 3: Public Spaces

一楼的公共大厅、淋浴间和卫生间巧妙地分布在筒体结构之间，设计上既满足了层高的要求，又完善了各项使用功能。公共大厅里橘色的家具既统一了建筑的色彩风格，又起到了引导人流的作用。市民们可以在公共大厅内方便地借用充电宝、残疾人轮椅和饮水机等服务设施。淋浴间和卫生间的墙面采用了grid平面拼成的图案设计，橘色的调子点缀其中，为空间增添了几分活泼与趣味。

The ground floor’s public hall, showers, and restrooms are strategically distributed among the cylindrical structures, meeting height requirements while enhancing functionality. The orange furniture in the public hall unifies the building’s color scheme and guides the flow of people. Citizens can conveniently borrow power banks, wheelchairs, and use water dispensers in the public hall. The walls of the showers and restrooms feature grid-pattern designs with orange accents, adding liveliness and interest to the space.

建筑的中心位置精心设计了一个露天中庭，其中种植了一株盛开的桂花树。每到秋天，中庭内气候宜人，桂花的香气沁人心脾，营造出一种独特的视觉与嗅觉双重享受的空间体验。

At the center of the building, a meticulously designed open-air courtyard features a blooming osmanthus tree. Each autumn, the courtyard offers a pleasant climate and the delightful fragrance of osmanthus, creating a unique sensory experience combining visual and olfactory enjoyment.

二楼设有一个宽敞的平台，它不仅为咖啡厅增添了一处宜人的露天休息区，还为前来的访客们提供了一个观赏金鸡湖美景的绝佳地点。

The second floor includes a spacious platform, providing a pleasant outdoor seating area for the café and offering visitors an excellent spot to enjoy the beautiful views of Jinji Lake.

特点4：光影
Feature 4: Light and Shadow

斜墙和开洞的设计，使得空间充满了变化，激发了人们的创造力和想象力。而咖啡厅的顾客们，则可以在这里享受到宁静的时光，品味着咖啡的香醇，欣赏着斜墙带来的独特光影。

The inclined walls and openings fill the space with variations, stimulating creativity and imagination. Café patrons can enjoy peaceful moments here, savoring the rich aroma of coffee and appreciating the unique interplay of light and shadow created by the inclined walls.

剖面设计
Section Design

一层结构标高4.20米，一层屋面完成面4.50，除展览用干仓2净高6米外，其余空间层高为4.30米。一个平直，两个倾斜的筒交错形成了丰富的内部空间，室内净高充满变化，咖啡厅从2.2米到5.75。筒体最高点12.00米。

The structural height of the ground floor is 4.20 meters, with the finished surface of the ground floor roof at 4.50 meters. Except for the exhibition storage room, which has a net height of 6 meters, the rest of the spaces have a floor height of 4.30 meters. The interplay of one straight and two inclined cylinders creates a rich and varied interior space, with changing ceiling heights. The ceiling height in the café ranges from 2.2 meters to 5.75 meters. The highest point of the cylindrical structures reaches 12.00 meters.

绿化景观设计
Landscape Design

在突出建筑标志感的同时，充分考虑与周边环境的融合，利用环湖步道条状铺地的特点，采用边长0.1米的双色方砖将条状铺地延伸至基地内部，并结合防汛抬高的0.6米，形成长短急缓不一的斜坡几何基座，让景观消隐的同时突出建筑的雕塑感。南侧广场种植四棵不同季节的树种，庭院中及俱乐部门厅门口种植带香味的桂花树，为场地及建筑空间提供多重感官体验。

While emphasizing the iconic nature of the building, the design fully considers integration with the surrounding environment. Utilizing the characteristic strip paving of the lakeside trail, the design extends the strip paving into the site using bi-color square bricks with a side length of 0.1 meters. Combined with a 0.6-meter elevation for flood control, this creates geometric bases with varying slopes and lengths, allowing the landscape to recede while highlighting the sculptural quality of the building. The southern plaza features four trees that bloom in different seasons, and fragrant osmanthus trees are planted in the courtyard and at the entrance of the clubhouse, providing a multi-sensory experience for the site and architectural spaces.
