这是为2025广州国际灯光节创作的一件装置作品，灯光节于每年十一月份左右举办，与以往不同的是今年的灯光节将与第十五届全运会同期开展，作为广州的两项重要活动主办方希望在装置设计上除了考虑以灯光为主题还需要融入十五运元素。装置选址在花城广场的城市新中轴与花城大道的交叉节点，是灯光节的主要会场。

This is an installation created for the 2025 Guangzhou International Light Festival. The festival typically takes place around November each year. Unlike previous editions, this year’s event will be held concurrently with the 15th National Games. As two major activities in Guangzhou, the organizers hope that the installation design will not only focus on the theme of light but also incorporate elements related to the National Games. The installation is situated at the intersection of Huacheng Avenue and the city’s new central axis on Huacheng Square, the main venue of the Light Festival.

光与影
Light and Shadow

当一束光照射在物体表面便有了影，这是对光与影因果关系的简单理解。虽然在某些特定情况下有光未必有影，但有影必然会有光，影子的出现证明的光的存在，影子的形态正是光源与被照射物体共同作用的结果。

The simple understanding of the relationship between light and shadow is that when a beam of light hits an object’s surface, a shadow is cast. While there might be light without a shadow under certain conditions, the presence of a shadow necessarily implies light. The appearance of a shadow proves the existence of light; it is the result of the combined interaction between the light source and the illuminated object.

在以往的灯光装置中人们往往关注于光源本身，关注于光的颜色、形态、发散效果，却时常忽略灯光给被照射物体以及影子带来的趣味性。

In previous lighting installations, attention was often focused on the light source itself—its color, form, and diffusion effects—while the intriguing qualities that light brings to the object and its shadow were frequently overlooked.

因此这里试图强化灯光、物体、影子三者之间的相互关系，借鉴传统戏剧“皮影戏”的表现形式，将参观者作为被照射物体，在白色幕布上留下动态影像，参观者与投光灯的距离变化伴随着影子大小与清晰程度的不同。

Therefore, this installation seeks to emphasize the interrelationship between the light source, the object, and the shadow. Drawing inspiration from the expressive form of the traditional Chinese theater “shadow play,” it involves visitors as the objects being illuminated, casting dynamic silhouettes onto a white screen. The distance between the participants and the spotlights affects the size and clarity of their shadows.

当人们开始关注影子，并借助灯光在幕布上呈现更加丰富的投影画面，这个装置的生命力才显得更加鲜活。

The installation truly comes to life when people begin to focus on their shadows and use the light to create richer projected images on the screen.

关联性
Relevance

作为灯光节的展出装置除了关注光影本身还需要与同期举行的大湾区全运会有所联动，装置在外形上设定为15边形呼应十五运主题，将15条边分成五个单元组，单元组内的边内外错动形成入口，这样装置从平面上看呼应了全运会的核心图形中广州木棉花图案。

As an installation for a light festival, it needed to connect not only with the theme of light and shadow but also with the concurrently held Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area National Games. The form of the installation is a 15-sided polygon, echoing the theme of the 15th National Games. These 15 sides are divided into five modular groups. The sides within each group are staggered inwards and outwards to create entrances. This planar design resonates with the core graphical motif representing Guangzhou in the National Games identity.

装置地面铺设印有全运会运动图标的圆形地贴，以此向公众普及全运会涵盖的运动项目，同时也可作为白色幕布上投影图案的动作引导。

Circular floor stickers printed with icons of the sports from the National Games are installed on the ground. This serves to familiarize the public with the sports included in the Games and also acts as a movement guide for the projected silhouettes on the white screen.

轻建造
Lightweight Construction

从建造角度来讲，作为一场临时性展览装置的搭建和拆除应当尽量轻便以缩短施工周期，同时还要防止对场地及周边环境造成破坏。因此装置采用镀锌钢管搭建主体框架，为了避免框架与地面固定给场地带来不可逆破坏同时不影响参观者的行走体验，设计用厚钢板作为基座与框架形成整体受力，钢管及厚钢板在展览结束时可作为回收材料减少资源浪费。

From a construction perspective, as a temporary exhibition installation, its assembly and disassembly should be as convenient as possible to shorten the construction period, while also preventing damage to the site and surrounding environment. Therefore, the main structure is built using galvanized steel pipes. To avoid irreversible damage from fixing the frame directly to the ground and to ensure an unimpeded visitor experience, thick steel plates are used as bases, forming an integral force-bearing system with the frame. Both the steel pipes and the thick steel plates can be recycled after the exhibition, minimizing resource waste.
