Appreciation towards naoyamatsumoto design for providing the following description:

这座殡仪馆建筑位于东京藏前，包括主厅和用于停放灵柩和骨灰盒的空间，本案为之设计了7个楼层中的B1、3、5、6层。设计师将传统的材料和技术应用到简洁的空间当中，期望表达一种原始而纯粹的感觉。

A design for B1，3F, 5F and 6F in the building where the corpse are stored, located at Kuramae, Tokyo. The building is formed by 7 floors has the spaces for storing corpse forever and temporarily, the spaces for the main temple hall and its sub and the community space. The area that was designed this time combined the traditional materials or techniques with its simple space. by combining it, I expected to express something primitive.

B1层是一个如洞穴般的空间，有着低矮的天花板。墙壁上使用了在多治见烧制的瓷砖，并饰以灰泥接缝。骨灰盒的存放空间使用了桧木和玻璃，通过对光线的吸收和反射产生间接性的照明。

On B1F where the corpes are stored, there are the special tiles burnt at Tajimi corted with the stucco and glass grave labels are on the Hinoki pedestal. Expression with only the materials absorb the light and indirect lighting, and use of lower place ceiling create the eneveloped space like a cave.

3层和6层用于灵位的实际存放。3层空间的环境较为明亮和清晰，主要使用了桧木，以及白色的大理石、灰泥和大谷石。6层空间的氛围更加沉静大气，使用的材料以胡桃木、炭灰色大理石、胶合木板以及西式大理石为主。

For the areas where the corpse are actually stored on 3F and 6F, 3F is designed to be cleanliness and brightness environment, using mainly Hinoki wood then white marble, stucco and Oya stone. On the other hand, for 6F, it is designed to be calmness and luxury space, using mainly walnut then, charcoal grey marble, veneer and western style marble.

入口大门使用了不同种类的木材，以纹理强调出空间的界线。每层楼的房间入口都均铺设以白色和黑色的大理石。墙壁和天花板处还覆盖以锡箔，以呈现出天堂般的光明氛围。5层空间对公众开放，主要用于举行参拜仪式，简洁的设计凸显出“寺院”所特有的平静与亲切之感。

For the entrance, finish is done by Naguri technique for each type of wood to be aware of the boundary of space by its texture. And for the each entrance of each floor’s interior, there are special ordered grave white and black granite stone. Also, for the wall and ceiling, the tin sheets are stuck to show the image of heaven with the light. For the community space on the 5F, not only the worshipers but also everyone can use it, and it’s made as much simple as possible to make the place “temple” friendly and welcome.

设计简练、质感细腻的室内陈设带来亲切温暖的感觉。在东京，类似这样的殡仪馆建筑正在逐渐增多。它们不再是普通的殡仪用地，而是各自拥有不同的氛围和特点。

For the material, the grain which looks kind and easy is mainly used to provide friendly and warm atmosphere from even the chair and table. In the situation that storing the corpse in the building like this increase mainly in Tokyo, those places need to be the special for each area, not the ordinary places where corpse go.
