Rui Mendes (Lisbon, 1973) is an architect who has had a studio in Lisbon since 2002, working mainly in design and teaching architecture. His work “Casa em Santa Vitória” (Beja, 2003) was part of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale Exhibition 2010, and the project “Acessos à colina do Castelo” (Lisbon, 2009), co-authored with Atelier Bugio, was part of the Portuguese Representation at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2012. “R9F6PBRANCO” (Pavilhão Branco – Museu da Cidade 2013) is the name of the exhibition and the book published in collaboration with Fernanda Fragateiro. He is co-editor of the book “LISBON GROUND” (Venice 2012) and co-editor of the Arquitectos newspaper (2012-2015).
