Since its founding in 2000, the Philippe Dubus agency has distinguished itself by its ability to revisit and reinterpret architectural typologies, winning the 6th session of the “Call for young architects” organized by the Arsenal pavilion on a mixed program housing, artists' studios and daycare in the 14th arrondissement.
Many competitions won followed, first in the North, and notably in Tourcoing on a former industrial wasteland, where an innovative operation of 34 town houses for a GIE of developers earned it a first nomination for the Équerre d'argent in 2005.
A second nomination for the Équerre d'Argent rewarded the Bois Habité operation in Euralille 2 in 2007, an eloquent illustration of the agency's ability to surprise on a classic program of 48 affordable housing units that the agency is transforming in a set of houses placed on terraces, immersed in a wooded environment.
