Oato. was founded in 2012 by Pim Snijdoodt and Stefan Tervoort just after both graduated as Product Designers at the University for the Arts Utrecht.
The company name ‘Oato.’ comes from the sentence: One and the Other. It was built on the idea that they’re two individuals with their own qualities and personalities, blend together to strengthen each other.
