François Brugel founded FBAA in 1992 and is now a partner alongside Victor De Almeida. The practice, which has around ten staff members, explores how successive transformations have a profound impact on the city, and in particular on its housing.Winner of the Silver T-square Award in 2023 for the conversion of the Saint-Germain block in the 7th arrondissement of Paris into social housing, the agency approaches housing in all its forms, with a predominantly social focus, primarily conceived within the existing built environment, or based on the existing. FBAA conceives projects with the long term in mind, so that they become a tool for the social and collective transformation of the city.
