Appreciation towards MAD, LHBY for providing the following description:

由马岩松带领MAD建筑事务所设计的海口云洞图书馆正式投入使用，它被英国《泰晤士报》称之为2021年最期待建成的建筑作品，玲和步尧有幸参与其中，进行了陈设设计。

Led by Ma Yansong, MAD Architects releases the design of the Wormhole Library, which is now officially in use. LHBY is honored to be part in this project as the furnishing designer.

云洞，顾名思义，白色的建筑如同多维的时空隧道，连接着城市与海岸。在设计中，圆弧和曲线是玲和步尧运用的最主要的线条：卵石形的沙发、圆形的凳子、云朵样的灯，仿佛连桌子边缘都泛着涟漪。

Wormhole, as its name suggests, is a multi-dimensional space-time tunnel connecting the city and the coast.Arc and curve are the most important lines used by LHBY in this design: pebble shaped sofa, round stool, cloud like lamp, as if even the edge of the table is full of ripples.

玲和步尧在冷与热的碰撞中提取出了蓝和橙这两种最具意义的色彩。冷色调的灰蓝、浅蓝、海蓝，既符合图书馆沉静内敛的气质，又与不远处的海天相融相连；橙色则给这静谧的空间增添了丝丝活力。

LHBY extracted the two most significant colors – blue and orange in the collision of cold and heat. The cool colors of gray blue, light blue and sea blue not only conform to the quiet and introverted temperament of the library, but also blend with the sea and sky nearby; on the other hand, orange can add vitality to the quiet space.

在公共阅读区，柔软的躺椅像一片片巨大的叶子，托起观海游客放空自我的惬意视线；落地窗前，一张张桌子仿若一艘艘小船，带着伏案晨读的人们徜徉于诗意的海洋；一个个沙发组成一片片礁石，载着霞光染金的思绪飞翔在梦想的天空。悬挑的屋檐下，一双“耳朵”被放置于此，面朝大海，倾听海浪的低吟浅唱。

The soft reclining chairs are like huge leaves in the public reading area, holding up the comfortable sight of the tourists; the tables are like boats in front of the French windows, taking the morning reading people to roam in the poetic ocean; the sofas here seem like reefs, flying in the sky of dreams with the thoughts dyed gold by the rays. A pair of “ears” is placed under the overhanging eaves, facing the sea, listening to the whispering of the waves.

作为陈设设计师，玲和步尧表达了对作品寄予的希望：“我们希望来到这里的人，能在这别致的躺椅上靠一靠，任海风轻拂，听涛声涌动，让自然之声替代都市的喧嚣，让使用者乘着一叶轻舟驶入诗意的海湾。” 这也正如“云洞”图书馆建筑师马岩松所愿，“建筑、艺术、人文和自然在这里相遇，它们将开启人们的想象之旅，探索、欣赏不同的美带给人们生活的意义。”

As the furnishing designers, LHBY expressed their hope for the works: “we hope that people who come here can lean back on this chic reclining chair, let the sea breeze blow gently, listen to the surging sound of the waves, let the sound of nature replace the hustle and bustle of the city, and let users ride a light boat into the poetic bay.” Just as the wishes of Ma Yansong, the led architect of Wormhole Library, “Architecture, art, humanities and nature meet here, they will open up people’s imagination journey, explore and appreciate the significance of different beauty to people’s lives.”

白昼，海风与书香相伴，入夜，星光与灯火交辉。
不愿离去的人们拾级而上，重新体味这梦与诗的旅程。
冷静的海，冷静的云洞；热情的心，热情的海滩。

The sea breeze is accompanied by the fragrance of books during the day, while the stars and lights are shining in the night. The ones who are reluctant to leave can go up the stairs and relish the journey of dreams and poems. Calm sea, calm Wormhole; warm heart, warm beach.
