北东湖是平湖市主要湖泊东湖（雅名鹦鹉湖）的北侧水域，东湖由九条河流穿越城市汇聚而成，周边美景历史名胜、名人文化数不胜数。丰富的水网使当地各处的居民能够“出门见水”，早晨河边迎着朝阳晨跑的青年、晌午的湖边坐在树下攀谈纳凉的老人、夜晚听着蛙鸣沿河散步的邻里…..河流从四隅而来串接起平湖人的生活汇入湖中，东湖也便逐渐成为了世代平湖人的精神地标。因此，沿湖空间作为历史文化的汇聚圈、居民日常休闲的活动圈深受政府重视，从1999年开始围绕主东湖打造“东湖八景”的东湖1.0时代，到现在迈入激活北东湖滨湖空间活力的2.0时代，东湖水岸的改造提升始终围绕着以提升居民幸福感、满足居民日益增长的精神、文化与审美需求而更新进步。

Beidong Lake, situated on the northern side of Dong Lake (also known as Wuhu Lake) in Pinghu City, encompasses a significant water area formed by the convergence of nine rivers flowing through the city. This region is rich in scenic beauty, historical landmarks, and cultural heritage associated with renowned figures. The extensive network of waterways allows residents to “see water as they step outside,” creating a vibrant community where young people jog by the river at dawn, elderly individuals gather under trees for conversation and shade at noon, and neighbors stroll along the banks at night, accompanied by the chorus of frogs. The rivers, originating from all corners, interconnect the lives of Pinghu residents, making Dong Lake a spiritual landmark for generations. Consequently, the lakeside area has been recognized by the government as a focal point for cultural heritage and daily leisure activities. Since 1999, efforts have been made to develop the “Eight Scenic Views of Dong Lake,” marking the 1.0 era, which has now transitioned into the 2.0 era, aimed at revitalizing the Beidong lakeside space. The renovation and enhancement of the Dong Lake waterfront have consistently focused on improving residents’ quality of life and meeting their increasing demands for spiritual, cultural, and aesthetic experiences.

本次项目位于北东湖西南侧水岸，此地虽有东泖云帆广场，东湖绿道环绕，但现有公共景观节点呈片段式孤立分布，缺乏关联性、吸引力，其现状萧条。

This project is located on the southwestern bank of Beidong Lake. Although the area features Donglao Sail Square and is surrounded by the Dong Lake Greenway, the existing public landscape nodes are fragmented and isolated, lacking connectivity and appeal, resulting in a desolate atmosphere.

赛艇IP的引入为改变这一现状带来了契机，平湖市计划在东湖景区北东湖建设赛艇艇库、水上码头、水上航道、服务用房等，远期将围绕北东湖打造以水上运动为主题的滨水活力环线。

The introduction of rowing as a thematic element presents an opportunity to transform this situation. Pinghu City plans to construct a rowing boathouse, a waterfront dock, waterway channels, and service facilities in the Beidong Lake area of the Dong Lake Scenic Region. In the long term, the objective is to develop a vibrant waterfront circuit centered on water sports around Beidong Lake.

赛艇运动与平湖市的渊源应追溯到2020年平湖乡贤、亚运会赛艇冠军吴林夫妇回乡，选定马厩村曹兑港作为赛艇运动基地并推动了乡村改造振兴。慕名前来的赛艇运动员、水上运动爱好者、游客越来越多，从此赛艇运动也被逐渐蕴育成了嘉兴市的重点体育IP。

The roots of rowing in Pinghu City can be traced back to 2020 when local dignitaries, including Wu Lin, an Asian Games rowing champion, returned to their hometown and designated Caodui Port in Majiu Village as a rowing sports base, thereby promoting rural revitalization. This initiative attracted an increasing number of rowing athletes, water sports enthusiasts, and visitors, gradually establishing rowing as a key sports intellectual property (IP) in Jiaxing City.

鹉湖清波泛新舟，北东湖凭借优越的水域条件以及核心的地理位置以赛艇俱乐部为契机，植入与其相关的一系列功能业态来优化现有的公共空间，打造一个集训练、比赛、科普、观景及休闲的赛艇主题滨湖文化公园，并由点及面地辐射整个北东湖的更新。

New vessel glides on the clear waves of Wuhu Lake now. Leveraging its superior water conditions and central geographical location, Beidong Lake serves as a catalyst for establishing a rowing club and integrating a series of related functional facilities to optimize the existing public space. The aim is to create a rowing-themed lakeside cultural park that encompasses training, competitions, educational outreach, sightseeing, and recreational activities. This initiative will progressively radiate across the entire Beidong Lake area, facilitating comprehensive revitalization.

赛艇俱乐部的形体，因功能的原因，呈现出了有趣的特点，因存放赛艇的需要，建筑基本原型呈现长条状，我们也顺势利用了建筑的这个特点，将建筑设计为两个条形形体，总图布局中，我们将建筑避开原始场地中有保留价值的树木，以自然松散的姿态介入到原始场地中。

The form of the rowing club exhibits interesting characteristics due to its functional requirements. To accommodate the storage of rowing shells, the basic architectural prototype is elongated. We have leveraged this aspect by designing the building as two linear volumes. In the general layout, we strategically positioned the buildings to avoid the preservation-worthy trees on the original site, allowing for a natural and fluid integration into the landscape.

建筑形态以赛艇为原型，错落有致，形成蓄势待发，百舸争流的动势，迸发出速度感与力量感。流线型的形体顺应地形微微弯曲，回应河岸柔和的曲线。场地通过线性的建筑片墙与景观绿化被限定为各种功能区，同时保持新区域与老广场的连通性，使之成为一个新的整体。靠近河岸的建筑为咖啡健身区，主要由简单餐饮区、健身房、浴室等功能组成，赛时用于运动员赛前训练热身和赛后休息，平时可作为咖啡吧供市民休憩。

The architectural form is inspired by rowing shells, creating a dynamic composition that embodies the anticipation and energy of numerous boats competing, evoking a sense of speed and strength. The streamlined shapes gently curve to follow the topography, responding to the soft lines of the riverbank. The site is delineated into various functional zones through linear building segments and landscaped green areas while maintaining connectivity between the new area and the existing square, transforming it into a cohesive whole. The buildings near the riverbank house a café and fitness area, comprising a simple dining space, gym, and shower facilities. During competitions, this space serves for athletes’ pre-race warm-ups and post-race relaxation, while in everyday use, it functions as a café for local residents to unwind.

两个体块之间的带状空间被巧妙地设计成了兼顾交通与展示功能的赛艇展廊，艇库内部用于赛艇储藏，在外部游客可透过片墙上的玻璃条窗看到内部展示的赛艇。两个建筑体的屋面平台通过连廊互通，可用作高视角的观赛区和日常休闲区。建筑的使用上满足用时和平时的多场景转换，最大化建筑对专业功能和城市功能的价值，同时周边景观与建筑一体化设计，设置多个观赛点与停留空间，提升互动性与趣味性。
建筑材料的选择旨在强化整体设计理念。主体采用钢结构，屋面材料为银白色幻彩铝板增强整体性，端部位置的渐变穿孔铝板，远处看正犹如竞舟时激起的浪花。屋檐下吊顶选用橙黄铝格栅搭配半透亚克力板增添了阳光活力的积极氛围。外墙的片墙部分外挂条纹饰面石材融入原有的绿化环境，在与屋顶交接的部分转换为玻璃过渡，使屋顶仿佛轻盈地浮于树林中。

The elongated space between the two volumes is ingeniously designed as a rowing exhibition corridor that balances circulation and display functions. The boathouse serves as storage for the rowing shells, while visitors can view the displayed boats through glass strip windows on the façade. The rooftop platforms of both buildings are interconnected via a corridor, providing an elevated viewing area for competitions and a casual relaxation space. The architectural design accommodates multiple scenarios for both event and everyday use, maximizing the value of the buildings for both specialized and urban functions. Additionally, the surrounding landscape is integrated into the architectural design, featuring multiple viewing points and gathering spaces that enhance interactivity and enjoyment for visitors.

The selection of building materials is intended to reinforce the overall design concept. The main structure utilizes a steel framework, while the roof is clad in shimmering silver aluminum panels to enhance cohesion. The gradient perforated aluminum panels at the ends evoke the appearance of splashing waves seen during a rowing competition from a distance. The eaves feature a ceiling of orange-yellow aluminum grating combined with semi-transparent acrylic panels, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with sunlight. The exterior walls are adorned with striped stone cladding that blends seamlessly into the existing green landscape. At the junction with the roof, this cladding transitions to glass, giving the impression that the roof is lightly floating amidst the trees.

北东湖赛艇俱乐部正式开业至今一年的时间里，举办了各种赛事，并联动主东湖共同发展“旅游+运动”的模式体系，实现北东湖片区的整体质量和性能提升。本次更新以人为本，尊重自然的出发点，挖掘建筑在城市中的公共意义，重新激活城市消极空间，更为市民们带来了新的体验和新的活力。

Since the official opening of the Beidong Lake Rowing Club a year ago, a variety of events have been held, collaborating with Dong Lake to develop a “Tourism + Sports” model, enhancing the overall quality and functionality of the Beidong Lake area. This revitalization is centered on a humanistic approach, respecting the natural environment and exploring the public significance of architecture within the city. It aims to reactivate previously underutilized urban spaces, bringing new experiences and vitality to the community.
