玄武湖位于南京市主城区，东枕紫金山，西依明城墙,南滨九华山，北连南京站，它是国家级钟山风景区的重要组成部分，国家AAAA级风景区、国家重点公园。江苏著名西餐品牌PICAPICA喜鹊凭借深耕国内多年的卓越品牌影响力，成功在2023年正式落户于玄武湖十里长堤环湖路。玄武湖PICAPICA喜鹊由DOMANI东仓建设执笔本次项目设计，经过历时两年的设计研讨与施工，项目完工落地后毫无意外地成为了玄武湖畔最夺目和热门的休闲西餐厅，并迅速成为南京当地潮流男女们社交与约会首选场所。

Xuanwu Lake is located in the main urban area of Nanjing. It is an important part of the national-level Zhongshan Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level scenic area, and a key national park. Renowned Jiangsu-based Western cuisine brand PICAPICA, leveraging its outstanding brand influence cultivated domestically over the years, successfully established its presence along the Xuanwu Lake scenic route in 2023. Xuanwu Lake’s PICAPICA restaurant, with the renowned domestic design company DOMANI leading the project, underwent two years of design discussions and construction. Upon completion, it unsurprisingly emerged as the most eye-catching and popular leisure Western restaurant along the Xuanwu Lake shore. Quickly becoming the top choice for socializing and dating among the trendy men and women in Nanjing.

在风景名胜区域里的建筑改造与商业激活不仅需要遵循严格的规划审批流程，保持建筑的风貌与自然景观的和谐统一，还会面临诸多的历史遗留问题。据此，设计策略需要：一、最大程度地提炼建筑空间与环境的综合优势；二、令本项目的空间符合现代商业运营逻辑与新生代消费者审美倾向；三、在建造预算与运营预算的要求范围内完成项目。该项目的原始建筑是一栋15年前的框架式简易建筑物。在此次对其进行商业性活化改造的设计过程中，首先进行了虽然复杂但不着痕迹的主体建筑结构加固设计，通过这个步骤，梳理出建筑结构的本质关系并将其强化体现，紧接着将室内功能嵌套进结构关系中。

Renovating buildings and activating commercial spaces in scenic areas is a delicate matter that involves strict adherence to planning regulations to preserve architectural aesthetics and blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings, all while navigating historical legacy concerns. To address these challenges, design strategies should prioritize integrating architectural spaces with environmental advantages, aligning project spaces with modern commercial operations and the tastes of contemporary consumers, and ensuring project completion within defined construction budgets. During the commercial revitalization design of this project, the original building, a basic frame structure built 15 years ago, underwent a crucial initial phase of intricate yet discreet structural reinforcement. This step clarified and bolstered the fundamental relationships within the building’s structure, facilitating the seamless integration of interior functions within these strengthened structural frameworks.

在这种着力于建筑结构梳理和强化空间关系的改造设计手法中，室内设计的痕迹是低调的消隐的，但反而人们处于室内时的感官，与建筑外部的湖畔景观会关系更加密切。本项目设计策略是在建筑外观上形成了与周边环境相处得当的建筑形式，同时室内空间中引导消费者将视线放在户外的远景。这一设计策略，使本项目在融入自然环境的同时，亦呈现出一种独立感。建筑主要表面材料使用研发版的沙砾肌理漆。表面材料的选择倾向自然浑厚的土壤质感。项目中大量使用该款材料，因此整体空间形成了“温厚感”，这种质感使餐厅氛围与玄武湖著名的落日景观交融得当。基于对肌理漆收边工整度的极致要求，设计方针对此研发了一组铝制模具，专用于厚涂的肌理漆在墙面边角位的收边限位，这种铝制模具极大程度地优化了过往在肌理漆的施工中依靠人手工艺控制的墙面平整程度。这种针对某种特殊材料深度的应用研究，是我们在诸多项目中的一贯做法，对设计品质坚持的体现。

This transformation design approach emphasizes refining the building structure and improving spatial relationships, subtly concealing interior design traces to create a seamless connection between indoor sensory experiences and the lakeside surroundings. The project strives to blend the architectural form with the environment, directing consumers’ attention towards distant outdoor vistas. This strategy not only integrates the project with nature but also fosters a sense of autonomy within the space. The main surface material used for the building is a research-developed gravel texture paint. The choice of surface material leans towards a natural and solid soil texture. With a significant amount of this material used throughout the project, the overall space exudes a sense of warmth and depth, creating a cozy atmosphere that blends harmoniously with the famous sunset views of Xuanwu Lake. The design team created custom aluminum molds to enhance the precision of the gravel texture paint finish, particularly at wall corners. These molds replaced manual craftsmanship, ensuring a smoother finish. This meticulous approach, tailored to specific materials, illustrates the team’s dedication to design excellence, a practice consistently applied in their projects.

室内空间的设计逻辑

室内的功能布局契合建筑体的结构关系来布置，室内与室外的边界切分需要因地制宜。在玄武湖PICAPICA喜鹊项目中，原有的建筑主体可改造程度相对较弱，但外部的环境是该项目中最具有优势的条件。因此，室内空间的布局逻辑：室内空间嵌合建筑结构，同时引用外部景观为室内提升环境氛围。在这种设计理念的指导下，室内的客人用餐区域都有可供远眺的景色。

The interior space design at PICAPICA focuses on harmonizing indoor functionality with the building’s structure, adjusting indoor-outdoor boundaries to suit the context. Given the limited potential for transformation in the main building, the project leverages the external environment as a key asset. This design approach integrates internal spaces with the building’s structure and external landscapes, enhancing the indoor atmosphere and providing guests with panoramic views.

私密与开放

私密性与开放性在西餐厅的设计中是一种平衡关系。显而易见的开放性有利于餐厅商业氛围的营造与强化，而适当的私密性则提供给消费者在用餐时足够的舒适度。因此，空间中大量使用了藤编织的屏风隔断，这种屏风平衡了空间的私密性与开放性。相比较于运用墙体作为完全的分隔，藤编屏风的高度和半通透的材料质感给餐厅保留了恰当的空间贯穿感。

Privacy and openness: Privacy and openness in the design of a Western restaurant represent a delicate balance. Obvious openness contributes to creating and reinforcing the commercial atmosphere of the restaurant, while the right amount of privacy provides diners with sufficient comfort during their meal. Hence, the space incorporates a significant amount of woven rattan screens as partitions, balancing the privacy and openness of the area. Unlike using solid walls for complete separation, the height and semi-translucent material texture of the rattan screens provide the restaurant with an appropriate sense of spatial continuity.

柔光灯箱的视觉抓取力

大型的柔光灯箱在室内开放性的布局逻辑中起到了关键作用，它不仅是重要的泛光装置对室内环境光进行铺垫，而且更重要的是作为某种标志对空间中重点功能区域进行提示，在通透的开放式空间中，视觉上产生了家具、装置和隔断之间的穿插关系。

The visual appeal of soft lightboxes: Large soft lightboxes play a crucial role in the layout logic of open interiors. They not only serve as essential ambient lighting fixtures but also act as a form of signage to highlight key functional areas within the space. In a transparent and open layout, they create visual interplay between furniture, installations, and partitions, enhancing the overall spatial dynamics.

中岛台的功能研究深度

设计方严谨地研究了中岛台的使用功能，基于功能诉求推敲出完整度极高且实用性极强的中岛台设计方案。部分灯箱式的中岛台成为人流动线的中的标地点，它在各条行经路线中为人们提供引导。

In-depth exploration of the central island counter’s functionality: The design team conducted thorough research to understand its practical use, resulting in a comprehensive and practical design solution tailored to functional needs. Certain central island counters, designed in a lightbox style, act as focal points within the space, directing the flow of people along different pathways.

家具与建筑

家具与建筑是空间中的另外一组平衡关系。在诸多一体化项目的设计中，从空间角度来说，建筑比家具更宏观，但从具体的应用或人体工学的角度，家具则远远比建筑更与人相关。毕竟，人们会在一个空间感极强的建筑环境中游览和拍照很长时间，但却绝不会在一张不舒适的座椅上停留超过一分钟。因此，在商业项目中，显眼的建筑令人乐于靠近或进入，而舒适的家具则令人松弛和愿意长时间停留。玄武湖PICAPICA喜鹊项目中使用的是一组DOMANI原创的家具产品。包含餐椅、餐桌和灯具。其中餐椅的设计针对的是顾客用餐时长在半小时到两小时的餐厅，设计师对餐椅扶手部分进行了一系列基于人们在用餐时的动作而做的结构工学优化，令到这张餐椅在人们久坐的舒适度、手肘部分在用餐时的灵活性、对话场景中手部放置的松弛度都有大幅度的提升。

Furniture and Architecture: Furniture and architecture establish a crucial interplay within a space. In integrated projects, architecture typically governs the macroscopic layout, while furniture holds greater significance in terms of specific applications and ergonomics, directly impacting people’s comfort. While visually striking architecture may capture attention, it is comfortable furniture that ultimately determines how long individuals remain in a space. In PICAPICA, original furniture products by DOMANI, such as dining chairs, tables, and lighting fixtures, play a key role. The dining chairs, designed for a restaurant where customers dine for varying durations, underwent structural and ergonomic enhancements focused on armrests. These optimizations were based on diners’ movements, resulting in improved comfort for extended sitting, enhanced flexibility of elbow positioning during meals, and increased relaxation for hand placement during conversations.

材料应用的重点

针对某种特定的材料的系统性研究，是DOMANI设计工作中重要的基础。厚度为5-8mm的墙面沙砾肌理漆在诸多的细节收口处的施工工艺，都存在施工落地过程中的实施难度，这些施工难点包含涂装材料的多变性和来自不同的工人手艺的差异性，所以涂装类的材料都需要通过增加某种辅助施工部件，来约束施工工序中最后一步完美呈现。因此，设计方在本项目中使用的定制铝制模具配件成功解决了该类型问题。它令肌理漆不仅可以在建筑外墙完成大面积涂装的精细收边，亦可以作为室内工程中各种天花空调风口槽、检修口、灯槽等结构的细部收口辅件。

Material application as a focal point: DOMANI’s design approach emphasizes systematic research on specific materials. Applying 5-8mm thick wall gravel texture paint in intricate detail areas poses challenges during construction, attributed to material variability and craftsmanship differences among workers. Overcoming these challenges often necessitates incorporating auxiliary construction components to ensure a flawless final presentation. Therefore, the design team successfully addressed this issue in the project by utilizing custom aluminum mold accessories. These accessories enabled the gravel texture paint to achieve precise finishes not only on the exterior walls of the building but also as detailed components for various interior elements such as ceiling air conditioning vents, access panels, light troughs, and other structural features.

灯光设计重点

餐厅中的灯光分为三组不同功能的照明功能配置
一、室内大型可调节亮度的柔光灯箱：它极大地吸引了过路人们的视线。同时，它也为室内提供了基础的环境泛光。另外它的点位位于餐厅中重点的功能区域，起到了强调功能点的作用。
二、室内花槽投影光源：它作为本项目室内的次要泛光，主要作用在于梳理室内局部的植株关系。当然它也为室内环境提供了基础的照明。因此它与柔光灯箱的色温一致。
三、室内重点区域的射灯点光源：此类型灯光分为两部分，第一是少量的天花工程射灯，它们通过相对隐蔽的安装形式，对重点操作功能区域或出入口区域提供照明。第二是餐桌上方的造型吊灯，这只命名为【Water drop水滴】的灯具是DOMANI的原创款灯具。该灯具的吊装高度较低，对下方直径为1-1.5米的桌面提供舒适的用餐照明。

The lighting design focus: The restaurant lighting is divided into three groups with different functional lighting configurations.
1.Large adjustable soft lightboxes for indoor use: These lightboxes significantly attract the attention of passersby. Additionally, they provide the basic ambient lighting indoors. Positioned strategically in key functional areas of the restaurant, they serve to emphasize these focal points.
2.Indoor flowerbed projection light source: This serves as the secondary ambient lighting within the project’s interior, primarily focusing on highlighting the plant arrangements in specific areas. It also contributes to the overall lighting ambiance indoors. Therefore, its color temperature is consistent with that of the soft lightboxes.
3.Spotlight sources in essential indoor areas feature two components. Firstly, discreetly installed ceiling projectors offer targeted illumination for key operational zones and entry/exit areas. Secondly, sculptural pendant lights, like the original “Water Drop” design by DOMANI, are positioned above dining tables at a lower height. These pendant lights provide comfortable dining illumination for tables with a diameter of 1-1.5 meters.

二层的空间设计与环境关系

二层的空间设计重点在强调顾客无论在任一组餐位都能拥有极佳的远景视野。因此在幕墙玻璃的选择上我们非常注重紫外线防护的效果。并且本建筑的通透性很高，令其在夜间异常瞩目。室内配置了绿植的聚落，是一种建立外部环境与室内环境的视觉联系的手法。

The design emphasis for the restaurant’s second-floor space is to ensure that customers at every table can enjoy superb panoramic views. To achieve this, the design team prioritized UV protection when selecting the curtain wall glass. The building features high transparency, making it visually striking and captivating, especially in the evening. The interior features clusters of green plants, serving as a method to establish a visual connection between the external and internal environments.

露台设计的松弛感与灵活性

从空间关系上露台是空间感相对比较弱的区域。它依靠大量户外家具的形成多个组团，来划分各功能板块，这些组团可以根据不同的运营场景来灵活变更。由于露台的高频使用时间基本在黄昏与晚上，因此，灯光照明也是露台整体空间构成中的重要部分。露台布置了大量的点光源落地灯团组作为坐标点，为人流动线提供引导。从宏观上看，灯光组的错落关系构成了露台的空间框架。

The relaxed and flexible design of the terrace: In terms of spatial relationships, the terrace is a relatively open area with a weaker sense of enclosure. It relies on the arrangement of a large number of outdoor furniture pieces to create multiple clusters, dividing the space into various functional zones that can be flexibly altered based on different operational scenarios. Given that the terrace is predominantly used during dusk and at night, lighting also plays a crucial role in shaping the overall spatial composition of the terrace. The terrace is adorned with numerous ground lights arranged in clusters to serve as reference points, guiding the flow of people. Looking at it from a macro perspective, the scattered arrangement of these light clusters forms the spatial framework of the terrace.

VIP包房的环境优越性

VIP包房提供了一个5-12人的独立沙龙场所。它在本餐厅景观最好的位置，且有独立的运营功能及动线。

The superior environment of the VIP private rooms: The VIP private rooms offer an exclusive salon space for 5-12 individuals. Positioned in the best location with the finest views within the restaurant, they feature independent operational functions and circulation paths.

整体建筑关系在实际运营中发挥的标志性作用及市场反馈

玄武湖公园的访客年龄层跨度极大（1-85岁），在不同的运营时间段的客群特征也相对清晰，如：早间的中老幼年晨练人群，午间周边办公白领人群，晚间社交类青年人群。复杂的客群因素意味着空间与建筑的形态需要足够具备足够的包容性与安全感，及最重要的——温厚感。这是我们经过长时间的项目现场前测考察确定下来的设计方向，并且贯彻在项目建设的全过程。PICAPICA喜鹊很幸运地成为了玄武湖公园及周边访客首选的休闲场所，它持续地吸引着众多不同类型的消费者积极地参与这个空间，至今获得了大量令人兴奋的体验反馈。

The operational impact on the surrounding environment and market feedback for this project is significant. Xuanwu Lake Park attracts a wide range of visitors, spanning from 1 to 85 years old, each exhibiting distinct characteristics based on the time of day. Mornings see various age groups engaging in exercises, midday attracts office workers, and evenings draw young adults socializing. Given these diverse customer demographics, the spatial layout and architectural design must be inclusive, providing a sense of security and warmth. This design direction, established by the design team after thorough on-site research, was consistently implemented during the project’s construction phase. PICAPICA Magpie has been fortunate to become the preferred leisure destination for visitors to Xuanwu Lake Park and its surroundings. Continuously attracting a diverse range of consumers, it actively engages people in this space, garnering a wealth of exciting experiential feedback to date.
