艺术家，设计师Giles Miller近日完成了全新的雕塑作品。一直以杰出的平面艺术品著称的该事务所，此次更是把作品延伸至三维空间。而该作品也成为了该事务所首个户外三维作品。该作品由数百个不锈钢硬币形状的零件，穿插在胡桃木框架内组成。光线通过装置反射形成巨大的发光体，引发了混乱的数字化效果。然而恰恰相反，该装置的内部构件仅仅在有限的范围内进行反射，既与周围的环境相对又与它们密切相关。Penny-Half展示于英国Broomhill Sculpture Park公园。该装置为 Art Hotel的周年庆参赛作品，并获得了Broomhill国际雕塑大奖。

Artist and Designer Giles Miller produced a spherical sculpture which brought the studio’s acclaimed surface work into a three dimensional form in the first of the studio’s outdoor site-specific sculptures to date. Using a combination of structure, composition and reflection the piece was made up of hundreds of stainless steel ‘pennies’ which was set into the centre of walnut timber lengths. The structure appeared as a mass of light that evoked a kind of digital chaos, but in construction it was in fact the antithesis of technological and merely mirrored light in a controlled way so as to appear as a kind of double-sided portal, contrasting as well as relating to the surrounding woodlands. ‘Penny-Half’ Sphere was located at Broomhill Sculpture Park in Devon, UK and was commissioned as a part of the Art Hotel’s annual competition, the Broomhill National Sculpture Prize.
