项目为Hoge Kempen国家公园气候研究实验室，该实验室是气候变化作用于生态系统的实验调查基地。其外形长约100米，宽10米，高4米。

The project is a laboratory for climate research in the Hoge Kempen National Park. The experiment investigates the effects of a changed climate on the ecosystem. An elongated volume, about 100 m in length, 10 m wide and 4 m in height.

该实验室项目强调了其在方位、布局和景观方面的作用。通过对建筑尺度的把控，实现其在功能性和观赏性的协同作用，让每一位公园的拜访者都感受到建筑为公园自然景观所营造的附加价值。在该实验室设计中，对于这一点的实现其实并不困难。

The design underlines both aspects, program and landscape. Even more, it is the ambition to reinforce both dimensions through architecture: Each visitor of the park should experience the building as an added value to the landscape. Obtaining this is no sinecure. The strategy to achieve this effect, on the other hand, is very simple.

实验室瘦长的身躯包裹在抛光不锈钢外皮中。建筑表皮的反射作用使行人不能立刻辨别出建筑物的存在。当人慢慢走近，建筑便出其不意的出现在眼前。而当你意识到它的存在时，这个环境便被赋予了更多的意义。建筑游走在存在与不存在之间的趣味性关系里。

The elongated volume is cladded in polished stainless steel. Due to the reflection of the environment, the building will not be present at first sight to the passerby. Only later, when approaching closer, the building will “appear”. Once you are aware of the building, it will be all the more. There is a strong interaction between absence and presence.

实验室的横向长度和视觉感受赋予该空间一个非物质性的完美形象。它以重复透明的穹顶结构，强化了隐藏在生态环境实验背后的先进科学技术。这一独特的实验室环境有效地促进了研究工作。它的设立和出现都具有重大意义。

The length, the horizontal line, and the absence of visible details give the whole an image of perfection or immateriality. The building emphasizes the cutting-edge technology behind the eco-system experiment. The domes reinforce this with their transparency and repetition.The design stimulates the mind. A prerequisite for any research. Program and appearance become one and strengthen each other.
