In “Architecture of Defeat” Kengo Kuma advocates to make architecture disappear. The use of mirror material is undoubtedly the most direct way to hide the building in the environment. When the mirror is applied to the outer surface of the building, it can reflect the surrounding environment, natural light and climate change, and visually integrate the building with the environment, giving the building dynamic expression and dreamlike light and shadow effect.
