Appreciation towards Utopia Architecture & Design for providing the following description:

乌托邦建筑设计的黄金柜(Fibonacci Cabinet/ 斐波那契柜),灵感源自中国的传统药橱及意大利数学家斐波那契的黄金数列,荣获世界最顶级的家居用品展意大利MACEF设计奖, 成为首个获此殊荣的中国设计公司。

此设计从两个名词开始：

一、斐波那契数列(黄金数列)

{ 1，1，2，3，5，8，13，21……} 此数列从第三项开始，每一项都等于前两项之和,随着数列项数的增加，前一项与后一项之比无限接近黄金分割数0.6180339887……这有趣的数列排列起来会变成优雅的螺旋形……

二、中国传统药橱

常见的药橱由365个相同规格的抽屉构成,分为上中下三层,相传该设计始于华佗, 因为他常用的中药即为365味。

为了满足多功能的需求, 将传统药橱抽屉的规格打破，根据斐波那契数列(黄金数列)重新进行排列。每个抽屉又被活动隔板等分, 即使装满了不同的物品,抽屉依然显得非常整洁。

采用环保的竹材制作,柜子总共由7个独立部分组成: 最上方的大柜子, 5个不同规格的抽屉,以及最下方的桌子（其结构取自于明式的矮几）。所有部件由底部的卡孔咬合，除整体使用外，亦可根据空间或实际需求，进行组合或拆分。

当你开始使用这把柜子的时候，不妨跟家人一起尽享DIY的乐趣。生活就是这样，要自由。

The design idea comes from the traditional Chinese medicine storage units, where all the drawers are the same size. In order to satisfy the multi- functional requirement, we apply the principles of the Fibonacci sequence, which is also called Golden Section for the intimately connection with the golden ratio, to rearrange every size of these units in series. The Fibonacci Sequence is a series of numbers: {0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, … } , in which the next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it.

This design is composed of seven units, a big cabinet on the top (550mm x 550mm), five drawers (34cm,21cm,13cm,8cm,5cm in length and width respectively) and a Chinese table base on the bottom, which could be used separately, combines the freedom to incorporate the modular series into different interior spaces or scenarios.
