Appreciation towards Lateral Office for providing the following description:

Clearing is a commission by the Harbourfront Centre to address the theme of ‘personal space.’ We conceived of a space that could be personalized by each occupant.

A dense field of over 4000 elastometric strings run from top to bottom across a tight grid of perforated metal panels. As an occupant navigates the field they take with them an acrylic collected tool that allows them to manipulate the density of space.
