位于上海时髦的昔日法租界，坐落在一座建于20世纪老洋房一楼的Blaze是一家现代化的法国小酒馆。

Blaze is a modern French bistro located on the first floor of a twentieth-cen- tury villa Shanghai’s fashionable Former French Concession.

该项目的出发点是对传统的法国小酒馆和古老的法式小酒馆进行现代诠释，而不是刻意模仿。我们首先将空间缩小为别墅的原始元素：窗户，大砖拱，砖墙和木板。接下来，我们通过用镜子和酒架在墙壁上衬砌，安装长条吧台座位并引入适用于与朋友聚会的大型长桌的方式来定位法国小酒馆的基调。为了使空间充满真实感，我们将原材料(裸露的混凝土地板，砖墙，铁梁)与更精致的细节结合在一起，例如酒吧上的彩色贴面和桦木镶板。

The starting point for this project was to create a modern interpretation of the traditional French bistro and evoke an authentic French atmosphere without being pastiche. We first stripped the space down to the villa’s orig- inal elements: the windows, large brick arches, brick walls, and wood panel- ling. Next, we introduced the codes of a French bistro by lining the walls with mirrors and wine racks, installing a long bar for counter seating, and bringing in large sharing tables for gathering with friends. To infuse the space with a feeling of authenticity, we combined raw materials (exposed concrete floors, brick walls, iron beams) with more refined details, such as tinted veneers on the bar and birch wood panelling.

餐厅座位的焦点是两个可用于大型聚会的大桌子，在排成一排靠墙的长软座上还有更多座位，吧台边也可放置较低的座位。我们很乐意提供各种座位安排，以适应任何客户的需求并促进客人之间的互动。同时，在空间中间的混凝土地板上种植了醒目的无花果树，从而平衡了工业风设计并带来了自然的通风感。

The focal point of the restaurant’s seating is two sizeable tables for large parties, with further seating available at the long banquettes lining the walls, the lower seats, and of course, at the counter. We were mindful of providing a range of seating arrangements to accommodate the needs of any customer and facilitate interaction amongst guests. Meanwhile, a striking fig tree was planted on the concrete floor in the middle of the space, thereby balancing the more industrial features and introducing a sense of natural airiness.

Blaze simultaneously offers its guests the atmosphere of dining at a friend’s home with the experience of eating out.
