《云上的日子》是艺术家史历于2012-2013年在北京上苑艺术馆创作的一些列作品之一，包括了一些文本和影像。

“那是一个非常有意思的地方, 北京之北。燕山的脚下，是怀柔、昌平、顺义交汇之处，一群非常现代和后现代意味的建筑群落和周围山峦起伏、水源丰饶、地势优沃的乡村形成一种有趣的对比。因为距离市中心比较远，没有雾霾。几乎每天都阳光普照，蓝天白云。”

“进驻之后，我觉得自己步调缓慢，像是生活在另一个世界。吃饭，画画，睡觉。很简单也很幸福。回忆起那洁白的画布上细碎如晖的时光。然后，幻想在其间，想起米开朗基罗·安东尼奥尼《云上的日子》的 “我们走得太快，把灵魂丢了。” 只有邂逅才是最美，不只爱情。在人生命里的不同阶段会给你不同的东西，这种东西是没办法解释的，甚至是无关乎好坏的。我在这里遇到了自己，自己是古希腊神话里的那个牧羊人躺在山坡上，看到那些从繁华的紫禁城之巅到燕山脚下，变换着各种姿态的一朵朵的白云幻化成种种现实……转眼而过，更加重了繁华之后，过眼烟云的虚幻。我们想要的是真实，但是一层一层剥开的总是虚幻。我的作品讲述方式既具有现代感，又很古典，我们在这漆黑的途中遇到忧愁、孤独、悒郁、伤痛、苦难、……以及快乐，最终归于寂寥。”

“Beyond the Clouds” is a series of works by Artist Shi Li when he worked for Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing, which locates in a beautiful site surrounded by undulating mountains and winding rivers, and everyday was bathed in rich sunlight. After entering the museum, the artist found himself living at a quite slow pace, like he was living in an illusory but felicific world. Such kind of life reminded him of the film Beyond the Clouds by Michelangelo Antonioni. People starve to know the truth, however they are always confused by the truth. The artist was telling a story about his sorrow, loneliness, depression, but most importantly, the happiness that he had truly engaged with, in a way that was both modern and traditional.
