西班牙巴塞罗那UPC大学校园北侧区域在过去一直是片切断大学与城市交流的封闭空间，现在被建筑设计事务所taller 9s arquitectes改造成为一个绿意盎然，与城市保持良好联通性的绿色空间，其也一跃成为校园的北向门户。

The objective of the intervention was to recover an existing ‘terrain vague’ to citizen usage, turning it into a new gate to UPC university in Barcelona. The area, was a ‘closed’ urban space, a great ‘cut’ in the physical relationship among the area of universitary buildings in the north and the pedestrian flows from south. The intervention solves the connectivity with closer urban environment and improves the accessibility to Campus creating new paths according existing flows.

首先，改造以绿色植物为基础，以路径为核心，打造出地面上的新休闲空间；其次设计巧妙的利用地形和流线造型隐藏修建在地面之下的停车场，体育馆等基础功能设施；再次，为了避免单一的以路径为社交场所的理念，设计中包含了两种不同形式的路径。位于南侧的路径在绿地中前进，并延伸出有机的小广场。小广场的边界被跟随地形起伏的耐候钢墙面界定。墙体上安置了一体的长椅，长椅背后栽植了可以遮阴的树木；东侧的行人路径蜿蜒前进，因为边界有地下停车场的排风口，所以边界地形被抬高以完美隐藏排风口。

The first objective was upholstering with green the most part of the area, offsetting the excess of paved zones in the Campus and offering a new space for leisure.

The second goal was to consider the set of diverse and separated elements that were in the area (the cover of the buried parking, the lineal element of ventilation, the crooked walls which hide the gymnasium, the stairs to the Campus, topographic conditions, alignments…) whom are an inheritance of partial and autonomous former interventions, to gather them all in an unitary idea.

The third criteria was to avoid the idea of paths as an infrastructure to design ways that generate spaces of sociability. The different formalization of the 2 paths are consequence of the different relationship with the ‘green’ and with the pre-existences. The way from south it is formalized as a GROOVE that cuts the ‘green’, which opens up in the vegetal terrain. Through its organic definition creates small squares, where benches and trees are placed. The path is created through a series of concrete walls of variable height lined with plates of weathering steel, which solve the transition between the topography and the path, embracing the preexistent elements and shaping soft slopes pending in south. On the other hand, the pedestrian eastern path is conceived as a MAT placed on the cover of the parking. The mat is designed with prefabricated pieces of concrete placed on the existing cover and accompanied by a sinuous bench of concrete.
