Autoban’s first overseas project, 208 Duecento Otto restaurant has opened in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. Inspired by the district surrounding 208 and the New York-style Italian menu, the design story was created to bring the authentic cuisine to HK. Art and design play a large part in the make-up of the restaurant’s surroundings, creating a fresh Bohemian energy.

A striking rustic iron facade welcomes visitors along with the two Nest Chair, the latest item of the Autoban’s collection. Two-storey restaurant seats up to 90 people, bar on the ground floor with a warm private dining room for up to 18 people, which leads up with an interior staircase to the dining room on the first floor. Blue and white ceramic tiles were used to decorate the interior walls which create the Chinese atmosphere while the leather bar stools express a rustic but at the same time an urban feeling of a New Yorker’s evening. West’s New Yorker and Italian style together with East’s Chinese ambiance creates a fusion and offers its visitors a unique experience. The natural and true style of Autoban is featured throughout the restaurant, in steel pillars, marble table tops and solid walnut, (as one the signature-material of Autoban), floors and ceiling.

208 Duecento Otto has won ELLE Decoration China’s Best Restaurant Award 2010 and
won the Best New Restaurant Award in HK Readers’s Choice 2010.

这是AUTOBAN的第一个海外项目，餐厅开设在香港上环，受周围环境与纽约风格的意大利菜单启发，同时希望展现地道香港美食。在餐厅环境的艺术和设计范畴下了很大一番功夫，希望创造一个新的混搭风格。

充满乡趣的铁艺大门旁放着两个鸟笼迎接客人。餐厅高两层，可以容纳90个人，一楼的吧在餐厅尽头楼梯处，这是一个温暖私密的地方，有18座。墙面是白底蓝纹瓷砖，非常有中国风味，木质座椅非常质朴，因此这里又带有纽约的夜间餐厅的风格。西方的纽约风，意大利风，还有东方的中国风被融合在一起创造出了这个独特的地方。整个餐厅的风格也是自然和真实的。钢结构，大理石台面，地面和天花是胡桃木镶饰。

是什么使这个曾经的肉仓库变成了抢眼的国际化现代意大利餐厅。
